Course in Green Construction Management
April 28–29, 2026
Green Construction Management
This course is designed for those who wish to deepen their understanding of how green spaces are managed within the framework of a civil engineering contract. The course is based on the standard contracts AB04/ABT06, the referenced contract documents, and applicable regulations, such as AMA Anläggning.
This course is intended for construction managers, civil engineers, and consultants who already have some experience in construction and civil engineering management and wish to deepen their knowledge specifically regarding green spaces. Prior knowledge of AMA-anläggning and AB04/ABT06/ABK09 is required.
The course consists of lectures, exercises, and discussions. We discuss construction management in a broad sense, with a focus on green space issues—before, during, and after the construction project. We cover what is required during the construction project to ensure proper care of plants during the establishment phase.
Course Content (Selection)
- The Construction Project as a Phenomenon – Governance and Construction Management from the Perspective of Green Space Managers.
- Which phases of the construction project affect green spaces, and how can we best incorporate them into our plans? From reviewing documents and construction planning to key inspection points such as soil preparation, plant beds, and plant acceptance inspections.
- How do post-construction maintenance and warranty maintenance affect establishment results, and what is the best way to monitor this?
- AMA codes related to green spaces. How can they be used to best effect?
The goal of this course is to provide you—whether you are a consultant, client, contractor, or property manager—with better tools to achieve well-functioning, well-maintained, and well-established green spaces on your project through effective planning, well-thought-out documentation, and construction management, with or without warranty maintenance.
