Trädkontoret invites you to a free lunchtime webinar focusing on how trees can be effectively protected during construction and civil engineering projects. The webinar is based on the handbook*Protection of Trees During Construction*and the new SIS standard, with an emphasis on practical application in planning, design, and implementation.

This webinar is intended for clients, project managers, consultants, contractors, and other professionals who work in or around construction processes that involve trees. Over the course of 45 minutes, we will review key principles of tree protection, common shortcomings in current practices, and how the standard can be used as a practical tool to reduce damage and conflicts in projects.

The lecture will be presented by Johan Östberg and Frida Bruhn from Trädkontoret and will conclude with a Q&A session. The webinar will be held via Zoom and is free of charge. A recording will be made for internal use, and a decision regarding its potential publication will be made afterward.

Frida Bruhn, a consultant at Trädkontoret, holds a degree in landscape engineering from SLU Alnarp and is an ISA-certified arborist with TRAQ training. She works as a consultant specializing in tree preservation during construction, as well as tree care and stormwater management, and has experience in both management and project planning.

Johan Östberg, a consultant at Trädkontoret,is an associate professor of landscape architecture specializing in landscape planning and has extensive experience with trees in construction and development projects. He is a landscape engineer, holds a Ph.D. in landscape planning, and serves as chair of SIS Technical Committee 577 on Tree Care.
