How can you visually assess the vitality of a tree and its ability to cope with stress? You will learn to recognize signs of high and low vitality, and what measures can be taken to improve the tree's conditions.

Assessment of damage

What impact does damage have on the lifespan, risk status and vitality of trees?
We will look at how to identify and assess different types of damage, and how to work preventively to reduce the risk of damage.

Assessment of risk

What determines whether a tree poses a risk to the environment?
The course provides you with tools to carry out a structured risk assessment and presents different options to manage trees assessed as risk trees, focusing on measures that preserve rather than fell.
