Cemetery tree plans - Creating sustainability and meeting requirements

A well-developed tree plan is not only an important tool for ensuring long-term sustainability of the tree population - it is also a requirement of the county administrative board. But what should a tree plan actually contain? How detailed should it be? And how do you create a plan that both works in practice and lasts over time?

In this workshop, we share the Tree Office's proven approach, which has been used to develop tree plans in over 100 cemeteries around the country. You will:

• A concrete review of how to build a functioning tree plan.

• Insight into which parts are important from a biological, cultural-historical and management point of view.

• Tips on how the tree plan can interact with other policy documents and plans.

We also discuss adaptation possibilities based on the conditions of different cemeteries - from small rural cemeteries to large urban facilities.
