This course will give you the tools to assess tree health, identify common pests and act based on facts, not uncertainty.

Learn to recognize threats - before it's too late

In this course you will get an overview of the most important pests and diseases affecting urban trees in Sweden. We focus on:

• Historical and current diseases affecting our tree populations.

• How pests spread and how to identify early signs.

• Prevention and risk assessment in practice.

A particular focus is on fungi, an area where many people experience uncertainty. You will learn how to distinguish between harmless wood-degrading fungi and those that pose a real risk - and how to avoid unnecessary felling of trees that can actually be left standing.
