The changing climate affects the urban climate to a greater extent than the surrounding landscape. This means that the tree species we plant today must be able to cope with the future climate. By analyzing the natural distribution of species and linking this to climate modelling, we can create projections of how different tree species will cope with the urban climate of the future.

Klimatprognoserna visar hur olika trädarter påverkas av framtida klimatförändringar i hela Europa. Genom att inkludera faktorer såsom temperaturvariationer och nederbördsmönster kan man i prognoserna följa vilka träd som kommer påverkas negativt respektive positivt av klimatförändringarna, region för region. Genom sin detaljnivå utgör prognoserna ett värdefullt verktyg för stadsplanerare, arborister, forskare och andra aktörer inom den gröna sektorn
